Question 1:
This program will create the document indicated. Please be sure
that this is what you want to write before starting. You can
return to the main menu and select another module by pressing the
"escape" (Esc) key.
You have chosen to write a Release of Lien document to enable
someone to remove a lien placed on property. It can be used either
to release a lien on personal property or on real property. Keep
in mind that this will release a lien; the document is not designed
to release a security agreement.
Question 2:
Please enter the full name of the person or company who is
releasing the lien.
Question 3:
Here, you should designate the owner (individual or company) of
the property that the lien is on. This can be either real or
personal property.
Question 4:
This program will allow you to create a release of a lien on either
real or personal property.
Question 5:
You need to specify if you live in a county or parish.
Question 6:
The county or parish needs to be specified if you live in one.
Question 7:
The state, territory or jurisdiction needs to be specified.
Question 8:
When was the lien placed on the property?
Question 9:
It is important to put in the address of the property. Note that
if you are going to record this document in the county, parish or
local records where the property is located, then you may need to
attach a full legal description of the property to this agreement.
Question 10:
Please complete the address by entering the city or town here.
Question 11:
Normally a lien is placed on property in order to secure a
payment.
Question 12:
If the lien is not on real property, then the program will ask you
to identify what the lien is on. This can be almost any type of
personal property such as a "car", "boat", etc.
Question 13:
This is a "yes/no" question to identify whether the lien is being
released because of a payment. The next question will allow you to
specify how much is being paid.
Question 14:
If the lien is being released because of a payment, then this will
allow you to specify how much. You needn't put a "$" sign because
it will automatically appear in the document.
Question 15:
Sometimes it is prudent to specify that there won't be any future
liens placed on the property.
Question 16:
Here, you can specify if there is a date when this agreement will
end.
Question 17:
This will allow you to identify the date when the agreement will
terminate.
Question 18:
You can have the agreement notarized. This is necessary if the
agreement is going to be recorded. Note that you may need to
attach a full legal description of the property in order to get
this recorded.
Question 19:
The questions are now complete. You can go back to any question if
you wish by pressing "escape", or you can continue with the
program. Now that the questions are completed, the program will
allow you to preview the document, write it to a disk file for
editing further or print it. Note that it will be automatically
saved so you can review or print it later.
